So, how did Taielir become our holiday giveaway winner? He was chosen through our take on a double blind draw!

First, we grabbed each unique entry into our contest and put them on a list

Then, we had one person randomize that list.

Then, we had a second person pick a number. The entrant that was closest to the number they picked, won – and that entrant was Taielir!

A Little About Us

Obviously Smith Iron & Metal isn’t a publisher’s clearinghouse. We’re a scrap metal yard… Richmond’s oldest, in fact!

We’ve been paying hard cash for scrap to folks throughout the Richmond metro for over 80 years, and we’re known as the scrapyard where you can “Get Weighed and Get Paid!”

We handle all types of scrap – steel, copper, aluminum, iron, you name it. If it’s metal, chances are we’ll pay you for it! All you need to do is bring it to our scrap metal recycling facility at 3000 Bells Road in Richmond.
